A staff member of the Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services of Illinois was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
41 year old Daniel Lanning and his wife were hired in July 2021 as house parents for the home.
The White County Sheriff’s Office was informed about a juvenile victim accusing Lanning of sexually abusing her on four occasions.
The suspect and his wife were fired.
He is detained in the White County Jail with a $250,000 bond.
His wife was not involved in this case.
