A Kentucky man wanted for attempted murder was apprehended around 9 Sunday night.
State police say 37 year old David Conrad of Rumsey, Ky, held his girlfriend against her will, assaulted and strangled her multiple times.
As the woman tried to leave, Conrad shot at her.
Trooper asked the public for help in locating the armed and dangerous man.
His vehicle was found in McLean County on Saturday.
Police have not said where Conrad was arrested.
He is charged with attempted murder, strangulation, imprisonment and domestic assault.
