A Boonville native that moved with her husband, to New York City in the 60’s to pursue her dream as a singer, was killed on March 10.
Eighty-seven year old Barbara Gustern was steps away from her Manhattan, home when 26 year old Lauren Pazienza shoved her to the pavement causing Gustern to hit her head.
She died in the hospital from blunt head trauma.
Police searched for Pazienza for two weeks until she turned herself in.
If found guilty, she faces a charge of manslaughter.
