Gibson County police officers will be stationed along school bus routes and in school zones over the next few weeks.
They’ll be especially looking for stop-arm violations, speeding and other forms of reckless driving.
Overtime for the special detail comes from a grant through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Stop-arm violators could pay a fine of up to ten thousand dollars and have their license suspended for from 90 days to one year.
