Two Owensboro elementary kids are charged with burglary, along with breaking and entering, a Class C felony.
The eight and ten year old children allegedly broke into two different homes, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
According to the county attorney Claud Porter, the juveniles were charged to create a path for the homeowners to seek restitution.
In Kentucky, there is no age of criminal responsibility.
Porter says, the children were cited and not arrested.
