Jury Tampering May Have Led to Mistrial

Trial for Robert Garner ended abruptly on Tuesday when the judge declared a mistrial.

Garner was facing charges of D-U-I and murder because a passenger in his car was killed in a crash.

The Daviess County sheriff’s office got word that there might have been jury tampering which led to the mistrial call.

The sheriff’s office says no misconduct on the jury, the plaintiff’s side, nor the defendant, but some information being passed long caused concern.

The sheriff’s office didn’t specify.
