Madisonville police are investigating an incident that happened just after 3 Sunday afternoon.
Officials say Ebony and Jacqueline Triplett made their way into a residence on South Harrig Street to rob several occupants.
Police say Jacqueline Triplett allegedly pulled out an AR-15 rifle and fired several shots at Quanyeh Hamlett, and two other residents.
Hamlett grabbed the barrel of the rifle diverting the shots.
Two of the residents stabbed Triplett several times after grappling her to the ground.
Triplett and Hamlett were taken to the hospital.
Detectives say, Ebony Triplett fled the scene.
