A Daviess County jailer was caught bringing contraband into the detention center while off the clock.
According to Kentucky State police, 22 year old Christian West of Utica, admitted to smuggling cell phones, and smokeless tobacco to inmates for money.
West told authorities he’s been bring items in for the last 6 weeks and made around $1,000.
Officials say, if found guilty he faces several years in prison.
He is currently lodged at the Henderson County Jail.
