Blood donations are at a critical low in the tri-state and across the US.
The American Red Cross says, it’s due to the rise in Covid cases, severe weather, and staffing shortages.
Donated blood has a shelf life of up to 42 days, depending on the type of anticoagulant used.
Centers across the country are saying they have less than a day’s supply of certain blood types.
