The tri-state is anticipating its first snow today.
Indiana State Police advises to check your car’s battery, windshield wiper fluid, and make sure your heater is working properly.
They also suggest that you have at least a half tank of gas, in the case you become stranded.
Bring blankets, water and non perishable food items.
Once the snow is here, reduce your speed.
If you do get into an accident, the law requires you to move the vehicle off the roadway.
Only call 911 for emergencies, not for road conditions.
