The tri-state’s first snowfall is forecast for Thursday.
Evansville’s Executive Director of Transportation Todd Robertson says, no matter how much ice or snow is predicted, salt trucks will be out pre-treating the roads.
To help with the melting process beet juice is used.
It’s put over the salt to speed up the procedure.
Robertson says, if you see salt trucks, give them plenty of room to operate.
