Thefts are on the rise in Haubstadt, so police are asking residents to lock your home and vehicles.
Over the weekend police responded to numerous calls.
Unlocked cars were broken into around Elm Street, and Eighth and Ninth Avenues.
In some cases, the keys were stolen.
Last week in Fort Branch, A person tried to break in to a home and was not undeterred by the motion light.
Thankfully they didn’t get very far, because the door was locked.
Call 9-1-1, so the police department can document each report.
