The annual Red Kettle campaign of the Salvation Army gets under way today (Fri)..
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will proclaim the day as “Red Kettle Day,” and will issue a challenge to the community to feed the kettles and thereby help those in need.
Boonville mayor Charlie Wyatt will challenge Warrick County citizens to pitch in as well.
The campaign funds Christmas assistance by the Salvation Army, and also pays the tabs for the soup kitchen, food pantry, and aid given to those in need all year.
