A suspect in the shooting of a Posey County deputy appeared in court Wednesday morning.
70-year-old Paul Wiltshire is asking to have his attempted murder trial moved to another location.
The incident happened last month in New Harmony.
Deputy Bryan Hicks and other officers responded to a check welfare call which erupted into gunfire.
Deputy Hicks was hit in the head.
Wiltshire was shot several times but recovered.
Hicks is being cared for in a rehab facility.
