Evansville city leaders are preparing for a November event aimed at raising awareness of homelessness.
More than 400 people in Evansville are homeless each year.
In an event called The Homeless Experience Project: 48 Hours In the Life,
11 office holders and business leaders will be on the streets for two days.
It’s designed to demonstrate what Aurora clients go through every day.
The event will raise money for Aurora and United Caring Services, which will help with upcoming white-flag nights.
