The board of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation approved the 2022 operational and educational budget in it’s Monday night meeting.
The spending plan totals $281,581,805, which is about $33 million more than they expect to take in from regular school funding.
The corporation has to deal with property tax caps and other factors that reduce available funding.
In addition, negotiations for teacher raises are set to begin shortly.
