There are wary eyes watching the rise in the Ohio River.
The waters are coming up because of heavy rains up-river — left-overs from Hurricane Ida — which are swelling water levels down-river.
Henderson has removed its boat docks because levels exceed 22 feet and could cause the docks to break loose and float away.
Launching ramps will still be available this weekend and local officials urge special caution.
Labor Day weekend is traditionally a big boating period on the river.
