Deaconess officials announced yesterday (Thursday) more people are hospitalized with COVID-19 than at any time since the pandemic began.
87% of the patients are unvaccinated.
Other hospitals have reached capacity and patients have been flown in.
A similar trend is happening in Owensboro.
Owensboro Health system leaders say they have 70 patients hospitalized with COVID-19.
Out of those 70 patients, 55 of them are unvaccinated.
Similar statistics can be seen in other hospitals as the Delta variant surge continues.
