Hopkins County Jail has confirmed that an inmate tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Until now, the jail has had no inmates testing positive since the beginning of the pandemic.
The case was discovered during the jail’s quarantining procedure.
The jail will suspend visitation, community service programs, in-house programs, and volunteer services.
