The PAC (Physical Activities Center), formerly the hub of athletics at the University of Southern Indiana, has been renovated, and now bears a new moniker, the Screaming Eagles Complex.
Athletic Director Jon Mark Hall says returning athletes are getting an eyeful.
“It’s really cool when you see the student athletes come back for the first time if they’ve been gone all summer,” said Hall. “They saw it close last spring, but now they see it done with equipment in the weight room, equipment in the training room, and to see the smiles on their faces and know that they’re in a school that takes a lot of pride in what we’re doing.”
“It’s a really cool feeling.”
Officials say the three-story building includes new exercise and training facilities, indoor batting cages, eight locker rooms, and still to come, a new pool.
The complex also features a team meeting room with movie theater seating. lounge areas and community spaces for study or relaxation.
