A man awaiting a rape trial in Knox County, has been arrested for an alleged rape in Evansville.
24-year-old Ricardo Civil was arrested Saturday.
A woman told police she met Civil through a dating app.
She said she wanted a ride to downtown Evansville, but instead, he drove her to an apartment she thought was near Washington Avenue.
She also told police that she believed Civil took a video of the act.
Officers say when questioned, Civil asked for a lawyer.
They say a search warrant of his apartment on Henning Avenue turned up several pieces of evidence consistent with the victim’s story.
Civil is being held without bond in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
