Indiana United Ways (IUW) announced that Jonathan Weinzapfel will serve as their interim president and chief executive officer.
For the past four years, he has served on the IUW Board of Directors.
Weinzapfel has helped award more than $45 million in COVID-19 Economic Relief Initiative dollars to local United Ways across the state.
He has stepped down from that board position to assume his new role.
Weinzapfel currently works as an attorney at the firm of Jones Wallace in Evansville.
He previously served as the Chancellor of the Ivy Tech Evansville campus, Mayor of the City of Evansville, and as an Indiana state representative.
