State to Probe Evansville Parks Dept.

Investigators from the State Board of Accounts will be in Evansville next week to look into allegations of wrongdoing within the Parks Department.

The city will cover the cost of the investigation.

Parks Director Brian Holz resigned last week amid the investigation into seven “questionable” invoices submitted to the department.

Mayor Winnecke called them “inappropriate.”
