Eleven Hoosier food banks, including one in Evansville will get a slice of a State of Indiana funding pie.
And it’s a pretty tasty pie, at $1 million to support the organizations’ efforts to provide sustenance to food-insecure people.
Of that funding initiative, TriState Food Bank will receive almost $62-thousand.
The eleven food banks participating in the funding fed nearly 1-point-2 million Hoosiers at the height of the pandemic.
The announcement came from Indiana Lieutenant Governor and Evansville native Suzanne Crouch.
