If you see fire trucks around the 420 building in downtown Evansville, don’t worry, it’s a training exercise.
The building is about to be torn down, so firefighters are getting practice knocking down walls, knocking down doors and other things unique to fighting fires in tall buildings.
Division chief Mike Larson says next week, other departments will join E-F-D for training that involves real life scenarios and a real fire.
