BP is buying out the portion of Thornton’s that it doesn’t already own. BP and Arc Light have each owned part of Thornton’s since 2018.
This involves 208 locations, including the eight in Evansville and Henderson.
“We have a proud history of high-quality retail brands across the country,” said David Lawler, chairman and president of BP America.
“Incorporating Thorntons into our business combines their customer-first culture with our existing US retail network and will help us deliver our convenience strategy of offering customers what they want, where and when they want it.”
The company does plan to retain the Thornton’s brand on the stores.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
