Evansville police have now identified a person of interest as part of a death investigation.
Officers were called to the hospital about 5 o’clock Tuesday morning after a man dropped of a woman who was unconscious and in cardiac arrest.
She died minutes later.
He reportedly told hospital staff that he saw the woman walking and she looked like she needed help so he took her to the hospital.
He also reportedly said he didn’t know her.
The man was gone when officers arrived..
The man is a person of interest and not a suspect.
