An Evansville man is in jail after authorities say he admitted to committing a sexual assault.
Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies interviewed the victim on Tuesday.
That’s when she told officials she was sexually assaulted by 22-year-old Jordan Ringholz last Sunday.
The victim said she picked him up after talking with him through Facebook messenger.
The victim later took what appeared to be fake Xanax pills that were potentially laced with fentanyl.
She woke in the suspect’s house around 11 Sunday morning to find her pants around her ankles and blood all over her body.
Ringholz was taken into custody and he admitted to the assault.
He’s in the Vanderburgh County Detention Center, facing a rape charge.
