The case of a woman accused of taking money from at least four families has been turned over to federal authorities.
Caroline Rich was a family services counselor at Alexander Funeral Homes.
She allegedly stole more than $19,000 meant for funeral expenses, from the family of three-year-old Oliver Dill.
As part of a plea agreement, Rich pleaded guilty to wire fraud, and was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $36,510.
But the agreement does not protect her from prosecution if more offenses are discovered in the future.
