A Missouri man is facing a rape charge in Owensboro.
Police began investigating after being called to the hospital because a young girl had been sexually assaulted.
The child was contacted on social media by 53 year old Christopher Bertolett, who traveled to Owensboro from Ballwin, Missouri, to meet her at a hotel.
He as arrested as he was checking out of the hotel.
Bertolett was booked into the Daviess County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond and is due in court today..
