Evansville police are trying to develop a suspect in an early morning shooting.
Police were called to a shots-fired incident near 1st Avenue and West Virginia where they found a car had crashed into parked cars.
In the drivers seat was 25 year old Dashambe Atkins.
He had apparently been waiting for the traffic light when he was shot several times.
He sped away from the intersection until he crashed into the parked cars.
Police found a multitude of spent shell casings at the scene. No arrests have been made.
