Evansville police were sent to the Lobo Lounge on Edgar Street about 2:30am Sunday about a car theft in progress.
Shortly thereafter, they were sent to North First Avenue and NW 4th street for a single car accident that turned out to be the same vehicle stolen earlier.
The driver, 25 year old Erin Michael Worman was unconscious and had to be cut out of the car.
He should survive his injuries and will face auto theft charges later.
