Evansville police say a man was hospitalized after shooting himself while resisting arrest.
An off-duty sheriff’s deputy spotted the man, whom they believe had a felony warrant.
When police knocked on the man’s door, he attempted to run out the back.
That was when he was intercepted by a K9 unit. After some struggle, the man pulled out a gun and shot himself.
Police are still looking into the incident.
