Indiana University has named its new basketball coach.
It’s Mike Woodson, currently an assistant with the New York Knicks.
Woodson graduated from IU in 1980, averaging almost 20 points per game, and earning All- Big Ten honors in 1979.
He’s spent the past 25 years coaching in the NBA, including head coaching stints with the Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks.
In addition, I-U will bring aboard former Butler and Ohio State coach Thad Matta (MOTT-ah) as associate athletic director for men’s basketball administration.
