When it comes to airlines, many people are loyal to certain carriers, and will only fly with them. There are also some airlines that folks would rather stay home than fly on, and a new report reveals which those are.
- Best Life looked at a variety of data to determine the most unpopular airlines in America.
- They compared 2020 data from the 2020 Airline Quality Rating (AQR), Skytrax’s airline star rating for each carrier, the “Wall Street Journal’s” Best and Worst Airlines analyses and a recent Luggagehero analysis of airline baggage losses to come up with a 100-point Flight Fail Index.
- Based on all that data, American Airlines is the most unpopular airline in the U.S.
- It earned a Flight Fail Index score of 100, thanks to an AQR rank of 10, a WSJ rank of 9, and a Skytrax rating of 3 out of five stars. It also lost 4.3 pieces of luggage per 1,000 people last year.
