Evansville police respond to virtually simultaneous calls that were apparently related.
About 9:30 last night officers answered a shots-fired call in the 1100 block of South Linwood Avenue.
They found a home with several bullet holes in it.
They also found several shell casings in the road.
During the investigation, a 9-1-1 call came in from the 700 block of Ridgway asking for an ambulance for a teen who had been shot.
Still another call came in during this time.
That concerned a person with a gun, seen walking behind the 600 block of Adams.
That person, 24 year old Dawnqua Shemwell, was found, the gun was located nearby and was found to have several Vanderburgh County warrants along with warrants from other jurisdictions.
The gun turned out to be stolen.
Shremwell was jailed on the warrants and in connection with the shooting.
