Warrick County dispatch gets a call from Warrick Hospital just before 2:30 this morning about a male who was dropped off at the E-R with a laceration to his neck.
That victim, 50 year old John Hamelin of Boonville, was taken to an Evansville hospital for further treatment because his injury was severe but apparently not life threatening.
He couldn’t tell deputies too much because of the extent of his injuries, and his being intoxicated.
Investigators subsequently learned that the incident happened at 20121 Brown Chapel Road.
Deputies identified two witnesses who are not being cooperative, and a person of interest is being sought.
Deputies got a search warrant for the premises and are currently conducting a search.
Deputies hope to release more information sometime later today.
