Evansville police say they got a call from a shooting victim at the Thorntons at Bellemeade and Green River Road.
Officers found a person with a bullet wound in the knee cap that he told officers had happened in the 500 block of S. Denby Street where officers found several shell casings.
The victim said he came to town to pick up a friend and while he waited for her, five males approached his car and started shooting.
The victim was treated for a bullet wound to the knee.
No arrests have been made.
