It’s been a long time since sledders could actually use their sleds to glide downhill on a slope covered with snow. That’s particularly true of Reitz Hill. But last week was one of those times, as dozens of sledders turned out at Reitz Hill to brave the down-hill speed afforded by the white stuff. They brought with them various items that resulted in a good deal of trash being left behind on the hill and the surrounding area. Volunteers brought their own trucks to the hill after most of the sledders gave up, and hauled the trash to the local landfill. Nearly 14-hundred pounds of trash was dropped off t the dump.
