A Newburgh man is in jail after pointing a gun at security guards at an Evansville bar Saturday night.
According to court documents, security guards asked 33-year-old Joseph Day several times to leave Lamasco, but Day kept coming back.
The final time, Day was physically forced out of the bar.
That’s when police say Day swung the door back open and pointed a gun at security.
Day had a permit to carry the weapon.
The last time he was escorted from the bar by a friend who was also legally armed
Day is charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, communication/intimidation, public intoxication by alcohol and drugs and disorderly conduct.
