Turn The Gas Heat Down

Center Point Energy, the parent company of Vectren, is urging natural gas customers to lower their thermostats to curb energy use.

CenterPoint also recommends leaving blinds open during the day to allow the sun to heat through windows and closing blinds at night to keep the heat in.

Many of the country’s refineries have been disabled by freezing weather, reducing supplies that were already diminished by production cutbacks during the pandemic.
