A domestic situation that got out of hand ended peacefully this morning, as a man reported to have a gun surrendered to police.
According to Evansville Police Sgt. Nick Winsett, a 911 caller reported that a man in the house was threatening her with a gun.
She was advised to leave. Officials say the woman and her son were able to get out of the home.
After a brief standoff, Evansville police were able to make contact with the man. He eventually came out peacefully.
