Indiana’s senior U-S senator, Republican Todd Young has listened carefully as debate rages on Capitol Hill.
At issue is the constitutionality of bringing an out-of-office former president before the Senate for an impeachment trial.
Young says that part of the Constitution was written ambiguously by the document’s framers, and some in the senate tke the opinion that such a thing is allowed while the other side says it’s not.
Young says he hasn’t resolved the conundrum in his mind as yet and is unsure how he will vote if and when the trial takes place on the Senate floor.
