An arrest was made last night by Evansville police after they spotted a stolen vehicle. Troopers say they spotted that reported stolen car just after 7:10 while patrolling in the area of Columbia Street and Main Street. They followed the car until more units from the Evansville Police Department arrived to help with the traffic stop. The driver, 28-year-old Andrew Shane, was arrested and charged with auto theft, a level five felony.
He also faces resisting and driving while suspended charges.
