Warrick County high schools will go virtual after the Thanksgiving break.
They’ll remain online-only until December 18.
Superintendent Brad Schneider says those schools make up 30 percent of the student population — and fifty percent of those represented positive COVID cases.
He says the move isn’t a permanent one, but it’s hoped that taking the action will ensure safety of the entire county.
Virtual learning for grades nine through 12 begins Monday.
The move does not affect grades K thru 8
