Two Evansville houses were hit by gunfire Saturday.
Detectives found seven shell casings outside a home near East Cherry Street and South Bedford Avenue. There were bullet holes in the siding of the house, and through a bedroom window.
24-year-old Dashonille Carter was taken to jail, charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and possessing a handgun without a license.
Just after midnight Saturday night, police found found two gunshot holes in the front window of a house in the 1100 block of Oakley Street. They say the house had been hit by several bullets.
There was no indication that the two incidents were connected.
