Following Governor Eric Holcomb’s restrictions in Executive Order 20-48, the 2020 City of Evansville Christmas Tree Lighting will now be a virtual event.
The ceremony will be streamed live on Mayor Lloyd Winnecke’s Facebook page.

The huge Christmas Tree for the City of Evansville has arrived the Civic Center.
It’s was transported with a police escort by Skanska, Industrial Contractors of Evansville
the 26-foot-tall blue spruce was donated by the National Electrical Contractors Association.
It will be decorated by the Traffic Engineering Department with more than 25,000 lights in time for the official tree lighting on November 19 at 5pm.
