Evansville police respond to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Madison Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
A 9-1-1 caller said several people were arguing and then some shots were fired and people on the street scattered.
Arriving officers found that a woman had been shot in the leg and they applied a tourniquet.
She will survive.
Many homes and cars in the area were found to have bullet holes in them but no other victims have been found.
No arrests have been made.
