A young driver is killed after her Jeep skidded sideways into the path of an oncoming S-U-V.
It happened on wet asphalt yesterday afternoon on Highway 57 between Boonville – New Harmony Road and Kansas Road.
A release from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says the Jeep was being driven by a female juvenile.
She has been identified as 16 year old Lillian Gardner of Evansville..
The 62 year old driver of the S-U-V was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A blood sample was taken from the driver, in accordance with state law.
However, deputies do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
