Kentucky governor Andy Beshear is raising red flags over his state’s reports of Corona Virus cases.
Five counties — Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, McLean and Webster — have scored places in the state’s COVID dashboard red zone.
A red zone county is one that shows 25 or more cases every day per 100-thousand residents.
The Governor says that if the county joins the red zone, new restrictions should be considered with dispatch by local government.
Among them:
- Employers allow employees to work from home when possible
- Reduce in-person shopping; order online or curbside pickup
- Prioritize businesses following and enforcing COVID guidelines
- Reschedule, postpone, or cancel public and private events
- Do not host or attend gathering of any size
